GDPR and our STUDENT POLICY:
Records, Tutor support and Study Aids
As a student, we know it is very important for you to have peace of mind when
it comes to the confidentiality and safekeeping of your records. Our relationship
with you is based on trust, and we are committed to keeping that trust! We have
a strict policy on all student work and records, as follows:
- We hold information
about students for a number of reasons: to provide you with course information
and, for enrolment and education purposes. For example providing your course
tutors with some background information about your education, interest and
work experience prior to enrolment.
- Tutors keep
student contact details and marking notes on the students they are responsible
for. Student records are either encrypted or kept under lock, in-line with
data protection laws.
- Student assignment
records, and tutor feedback, are deleted after the course expiry date, unless
the student is required to complete further studies after the course completion
- Student projects
and assignments are strictly confidential and only shared with assigned tutors
if they require them for marking and feedback. Students can request to see
his / her own records at any time, if desired.
- As an education
establishment, we also hold details of graduation certification should the
student require proof of their study at any future time.
- GDPR guidelines
for Crainosacral practitioners, relating to client records, insurance requirements
etc., can found on the CSTA website in the members area. You may need to check
your policy with the insurance provider.
- During training
programmes, we may make photographic, video or audio recordings of the course
lectures and demonstrations to enhance the home study assignments, to review
key lectures and for review and further understanding of course material.
This only for the students who are attending the course in question. It is
your right as a student / participant to request that any recordings may not
be shared with the rest of your student group.
- We may have
your phone number and email if you are on a course, to facilitate communication
between tutor and student. (For example home study and projects and communications
about the training).
